Helena Adventure Company Design Apprenticeship

Tuesdays & Thursdays | 1PM - 3PM

The Helena Adventure Company (HAC) exists to let the world know about the incredible outdoor opportunities that exist in Helena, Arkansas and the Arkansas Delta on the Mississippi River. Helena, perched on the geographic anomaly of Crowley's Ridge, offers every type of outdoor adventure from hiking, boating, and swimming to music festivals and amazing food.

Working out of the 15,000 sq ft creative workshop and office space on Ohio Street during school hours, Thrive staff collaborates with high school students from different educational environments to improve the community and learn creative industry basics.

Currently students are working for the Helena Adventure Company, a project to attract outdoor adventure tourism to the area, making promotional videos as well as running the related social media accounts. They are also documenting and marking trails throughout historic Helena with trail markers that they designed and created.

The Thrive Center, located at 415 Ohio Street in historic downtown Helena, Arkansas, is an asset to the Helena area and to the services that Thrive provides to the community. The arrival of the Thrive Center expands Thrive’s ability to provide creative industry skills to area students like never before, opening up access to new career paths. The Thrive Center is staffed by knowledgeable industry professionals and is equipped with wood working tools, a paint shop, screen printing shop, computer lab with graphic design software, audio/visual equipment, VR/AR equipment and a 3-D printer.
