Lonoke County Libraries

Branding • Marketing

The Lonoke Co. Public Libraries are incredible assets to the entire county. Despite a widespread lack of awareness of all that the Library offers, it continues to be a reliable and resilient resource to the broader community.

Beyond literacy services such as book check out, the Library offers an array of services including a computer lab, free wifi access, career help, historical archival, and legal aid. They have an excellent staff that goes the extra mile in assisting patrons, forming strong, lasting relationships. It was important that the brand represent this diverse spectrum of services and resources as well as unify the full system of libraries versus just the location in Lonoke. We explored the possibility of different brand structures that would create a semi-unique identity for each location, but with client discussion, ultimately decided a wholly unified brand is what the system needed to effectively serve its audience. This meant changing the name from Lonoke County Library System to Lonoke County Libraries and choosing a monolithic versus endorsed brand system. The LCL staff and stakeholders were very passionate about the library being known for the services and resources they offer beyond books. With that in mind, we embraced a more modern look with iconography that representing the information and community resources the Library offers.
